Born in Montreal, Quebec, Jaymi completed her Bachelor of Engineering in Biological Engineering at Dalhousie University in 2003, a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering at the University of Calgary in 2006 and is currently working towards her PhD in the Biomedical Engineering program at the University of Calgary. Jaymi’s primary research interests involve tissue engineering of bone and cartilage tissues using stem cells. Her personal interests include cycling, swimming and running. She also participates as a sailing crew member when she is home visiting her family in Nova Scotia in the summer.
