In Alexandria, Egypt May Taha was born. She loved Art very much. During school years she got the highest grades in Art and Biology. She found that Dentistry is a perfect combination of Art and Science. She joined the school of dentistry. After five years she got her Bachelor degree in Dental Medicine and surgery with an honour degree, July 2004.

Later during dental practicing she met many patients who lost parts of their bodies due to different reasons. Yet most current treatment modalities depend on artificial prosthesis and auto graft. Each of them has major drawbacks. Also esthetical and functional related problems have a huge impact on the patient’s quality of life. So, she started searching in the field of regenerative medicine. Regenerative medicine with its novel tools can propose robust solutions for those patients. Fortunately, she joined Dr. Jeff Dunn’s lab, where she had the chance to contribute to this field by working on stem cell transplantation and tracking using MRI

In her spare time she loves travelling and exploring new places with her family.
